Being induced Friday if no labour starts!!

Hi ladies,

Am 41 weeks today and have had 2nd sweep this afternoon cervix was closed on sweep attempt no 1 last week and today there's little change, midwife massaged area as well as she could and told me to keep trying to bring labour on naturally myself so am trying all the usual methods! Including midwife's suggestion of "doing what got you pregnant in the first place and a few times if you can" my husbands face you can imagine was a picture lol :)

So am booked to be induced on Friday morning, will keep you updated on how I go! X

gl my mw said the same to me today she said sex sex and spicy foods lol dh is not complaining haha x

Thanks ladies had a spicy curry last night and my hubby obliged gladly with the method my midwife suggested think he rather enjoyed that one but this morning still nothing so still trying to get labour going before Friday xxx

Pineapple apparently...there are some enzymes in it that start labour or something. I ate an entire one when i was overdue and had a seriously bad tummy but no sign of labour! I then decided to actually put it up the vital birth giving orifice in a moment of madness. Needless to say, nothing happened apart from getting a sore vag. I was induced in the end. Probably a good thing, who knows what I would have done next..?

Am currently eating pineapple mummyluce my hubby got some for me on his way home from work this afternoon still nothing this afternoon apart from lots of wriggles from baby so know little ones ok x not looking forward to being induced if I have to but now at least got the goal I could have baby in my arms by Saturday or Sunday

Still nothing today so unless anything happens overnight induction begins tomorrow

Will be fine! It's very exciting being induced! And you now have the evening to have a pre labour bath, and beautify yourself ready to meet little un! None of this rushing off at a moments notice! Have a lovely time and congrats xx

Good luck! I've been induced 2 times out of 3 and sometimes I think being induced with this baby would be best, at least I can plan things...

Thankyou ladies am currently waiting at home for my maternity unit to have a bed available for me this afternoon then can hopefully get things going

Update : not much happening still on maternity triage unit had pessary in 4 hours getting uncomfortable, backache period like pain but nowhere near in labour yet xx
