So we have got our BFP which we are so pleased happy etc but have decided not to tell anyone until we have our first scan as we had a miscarriage and lost another at 12 weeks :-( I want to tell the world so wondered if anyone on here wanted to tell the world but not if that makes sense lol!! Also feeling scared as I seem to be feeling fine with not to much sickness so hoping this little bean sticks fingers crossed xxx

I was the same. Sorry for your loss and huge congratulations on your pregnancy. I too lost my last baby at 13 weeks, it's actually a year ago today so feeling a bit down about that, I can't believe how fast that year has gone! When we conceived again I was terrified of telling anyone, we went for our 12 week scan which was made worse as it fell on our lost baby's due date but all was fine and I think we got to about 16 weeks before we told family as I was clearly showing, I think some had already guessed but coz of circumstances didn't want to ask us if we were expecting. I didn't want to tell people as untelling people is just awful and I didn't really accept this baby was actually sticking around until well after 20 week scan. So we told close family and other people have just found out when they've seen me and bump coming. I wish u all the best with your pregnancy and just tell people once you are ready x

Could have been written by me....

First, congratulations on your pregnancy :) how far along are you?

I've recently had a positive test after two miscarriages (one at 13 weeks, so I know where both of you are from. ..)

I'm planning on telling my family at Christmas when I'll be around 14 weeks, and friends and employers in January. My family lives in my home country so they won't see any growing bump/morning sickness etc.

I'll cross both my thumbs that our little babies will make it this time! :)

Aww thank you both and sending hugs to you Trujay what a roller coaster for you. Good luck :-)
Lillajag we are only just so just over 4 weeks but I'm just scared lol I don't feel pregnant so am thinking/hoping all is ok plays with your emotions doesn't it the whole wanting that line on the test then to hope it sticks!! Good luck Lillajag we must be quite close in weeks as I think we was planning to tell family Christmas or just after if all goes ok :-)

Hi Angel I'm in the same boat too and I will (hopefully) also be 14 wks at christmas and planning to tell everyone then.

I MCd in April at 5 weeks and many years ago I got to 8 wks but I'm really trying to stay positive. Going for a 6 week scan next week or the week after.

Good luck all x

I'm 4+4 if I've counted right :P I don't feel pregnant either, apart from being tired, but I'm almost always tired :P I can't wait for some other symptoms... being sick and having sore boobs almost makes it more real somehow.

Does your family know that you are trying for a baby? :)

lillajag · 22/10/2013 11:38

Angelina, we're all very close then :) will be 13+1 when my parents arrive the week before Christmas so I hope everything is fine and I can tell them when we're meeting them at the airport :)

No no one knows and my sister and bro in law had their dd around 9 months ago so took the spotlight off of us thankfully!! I know I don't want the sickness but in someways gives me confirmation something is there and not in my imagination! I'm waiting for some clear blue digi tests I ordered from eBay even though I have done 4 other tests lol
ANgelina77 good luck xx

Fun with cousins close in age :)

I don't really want the sickness/nausea bit either, but if I get it I won't complain because I've longing for this baby for years and I just feel that it's my (and my DP's) time now :)

I know my mum wants a grandchild because she's been hinting a bit during the last months, I'm just sad that we're not in the same country at the moment :(

The digi ones are great! Did one yesterday and it was quite nice to see the word PREGNANT and just not two lines :P

Have you contacted your GP/midwife yet?

It really does play with your emotions and really has tainted pregnancy for me. I didn't feel pregnant either, even after scans, I just put it to the back of my mind which has made this pregnancy go really fast and now I have just 11 days to go and haven't had one complication so far so all is well. I still find it hard to believe we have one coming so soon, I'm not satisfied until it is here in my arms, healthy and happy!
I don't have any advice for taking the worry away, no matter what people say, it's always there in the back of ur mind but I truly wish u all the best for happy healthy pregnancies Smile

I told randomers!! I felt it was safer. I told people who served me in shops, neighbours, the postman....basically anyone who wouldn't know my family!!

Tell the world if you want to... :)
