Please come and indulge me with your late BFP stories!

This is our second month TTC #2 and I don't know what the hell's going on! I'll try and give all the info and maybe some of you can let me know what you think (especially if you were in the same boat prior to your BFP)

My last period started 21/9, and I've always had cycles ranging from 24-26 days, which would put me due again Tuesday to Thursday of last week, but as yet, no sign, and no positive test either!

When I conceived DS (now 15 months) I was, I think, 3 or 4 days late before I got a BFP, but now I'm already 5-7 and tested this morning with no hint of a line, and my hope is beginning to wane! Last time I was using a CBFM so know exactly when I ovulated, this time we decided to just see what happened for a few months but going by the signs I recognised from before I think today I'm 14DPO or thereabouts.

So, did anybody get a BFN this late and still have it turn into a BFP? Or am I just clutching at straws hoping this could still be our month? Any opinions greatly appreciated!

I always get late BFP but my cycle is VERY irregular usually between 21-45 days so probably not much help for you, sorry x

I was about 8 weeks when I finally got a positive test! Cycle was regular enough and in the two weeks after my period was due I took 4 tests, all came back negative. So I went to America for a friends wedding with 14 of friends, spent two weeks there drinking like a fish (think cocktails for brunch) and about 2 weeks after I got home took ANOTHER test (thinking by this time I had an ovarian cyst, had one previously so only took another pregnancy test so I could tell my gp I definitely wasn't pregnant) and it came back positive. Currently 27 weeks and despite the cocktails bump is doing well!

I had a late BFP 8 days after I was due on and 13 days after I got y first symptoms. I was convinced I was pregnant before new year, but it was 11th Jan before I finally got a BFP! I'm now sitting here with a 5 week old on my lap - it can happen

I didn't get a bfp until 8 days over and even then it was only faint. At 10 days late I got a pregnant 1-2 weeks on clear blue.

I was like you given up hope and just thought I was late! Now 17+3 so definitely was a bfp.

I tested every day from dpo 8. I didn't even get a smudge of a line until dpo 15, and a proper BFP on dpo 16.

I think it really can take longer for some people's HCG to rise.

Thanks everyone! BFN again this morning, I'm trying to stay optimistic but it's hard balancing optimism with not getting my hopes up too much in case it doesn't happen! Still, I've got a massive pack of cheapy tests coming today so I can POAS every time I go to the loo every day until I get my answer one way or another!
