Twins?

I'm currently pregnant with my third baby and can't seem to shake the feeling I'm having twins. I'm 9 weeks and waiting for my 12 week scan appointment in the post so I guess I'll find out soon enough! I was just wondering if anyone who has had twins had any symptoms or just had a feeling about it.

I've just found out I'm expecting twins (at my 12 week scan). I had absolutely no clue. I did get bigger quicker but I put that down to it being a second pregnancy. I was also more tired in the first trimester but thought this was due to chasing after my 3 year old and being a bit older this time. So really no firm symptoms that there was more than one or any kind of feeling so it came as an enormous shock. Good luck with your scan.

I posted exactly this a few weeks ago! I'm 10 + 4 and I don't know why I have this feeling.... Scan is 2 weeks tomorrow & can't come soon enough!!! Didn't have this feeling with DD (who is 19 months). I'm going to shit myself if I'm right!! Do come back & let us know! x

I didn't have a clue, really hadn't crossed my mind. But saying that I had no morning sickness nor any other pregnancy symptoms really. Was a huge shock, but a happy one

It didn't cross my mind either. I was sleeping 13 hours a night, cried at the drop of a hat, had horrendous morning sickness, lost weight and couldn't eat anything but toast for about 16 weeks. I thought this was pretty normal for a pregnant woman (my first pregnancy). Got the shock of my life at my 12 weeks scan!

I was convinced dc2 was twins, but he wasn't! Thank god. I think it's quite common (anecdotally) to think this with 2nd pg, no idea why!

my daughter, thought the same, this is her 2nd pregnancy, she went for a private scan as she has polysistic ovarys and we wanted to make sure it wasn't eptopic. She was 6 weeks and 2 days, there were two sacs one with an heartbeat and one empty, so now waiting till 12 week scan, to see if there is another or if the body has absorbed the empty sac, she is defently bigger, she is now nearly 8 weeks. sees the midwife on Thursday for the first check :)

I found out today I'm having twins! I don't know why but from the outset I thought I might be having twins, there's no particular history of it in my family but when I looked up symptoms etc. it said if you're tall and over 30 you're more likely to have twins (both of which I am). Other symptoms they listed were bad morning sickness (I've not been able to eat hardly anything and have lost 7lbs) this is due to increased hormones because there's two but my friend who had twins had no morning sickness, a lot of ligament pain (which I've been having) and also a feeling that you might be pregnant with twins.

So you might be but the only way you'll find out is when you have the scan I'm afraid but at least if it is you'll be more prepared!

I'm nearly 31, no morning sickness but loads more ligament pain & stretchy feelings & aches than last time! And this feeling that I just can't shake. Scan on 2nd November... Hurry up hurry up!!!!

I was going to start a thread on here asking what the symptoms were for twins! Someone beat me to it

I have a 2yo and had an early miscarriage a couple of months ago. With both of those pregnancy tests were very faint for ages. This time I felt sick 3 days before my period was due and bam, line came up straight away... repeated the test yesterday (day before period due) and it was really dark and strong! Am now bricking it in case its twins - I am tall, and over 30! Am only 4 weeks today, so a loooooong time to wait before I find out.
