Bloody show after sweep

Hi guys, had a sweep fri at 39+6 had a bit of brown bleeding and discharge after,some pains but nothing major. Had no more brown gunk n felt fine all day, just been for a walk, went for a wee and had the bloody show,I know it's the show as it was a giant blob with blood in it and i had the muscus show a few weeks back. Just wondered if anyone knows how long till labour? (Currently 40+2) x

hey hun when I had my second sweep lost my bloody show and a few hours later was 3cm dilated was at hosp so they sweeped me again to speed things up as was in pain and an hour later was at 6cm and my baby was born 5hrs later any period pains that get worse go hosp xxx

How longs a piece of string?

I only had a show with 1 of my 5 births. I had the showcat about 12pm. Baby arrived at 7pm.

It won't be long now& at least something is happening!

Well had the show yest and after a few mixed braxtons/contractions... nothing :( keep ur fingers crossed for us,I'm 40+2 and really hoping he will come soon,I've dropped so low my bellys hitting my legs I'm that low lol xx

keeping em crosssed for you hun I didn't think I. was progressing. when I was in labour was having irregular hicks that hurt so went hospital was 2-3 cm and had a sweep n within an hour was at 6 my waters didn't go until I litrally started pushing my baby out was a close. call for her to be born in her sack lol but it poped just as her head apperead lol so moral to the story if u have pain go hosp xxxx

Well 4 days after sweep n 2days since the bloody show...nothing at all is happening :( got another sweep on fri so hopefully that one will work :s xx

With dd i had sweep mid morn, bloody show by 1pm, baby by 7.30 pm. God luck its soon!

Thanks guys,I just don't understand how I can av the bloody show n no baby over 48 hours later,I thought that meant it was imminent :s well we'll c what happens after fri xx

I had a show on sat and baby was born thurs morning! I I know how you feel my lo was only 4 days late but I was desperate for things to start

No nothing, had sweep fri,I'm fully effaced only 1cm dilated though,membranes bulgin. Had gunk n more bits of blood but he's staying in there. Being induced next sun so he'll be here one way or another. I'm so fed up n in pain now, I don't know why he won't come out :( xx

bless you ends the worst every single pain and ache comes don't it and just knowing that ull have ur baby any day dunt help lol I hate waiting, and he probably thinking I ain't xoming out when the weather is like this haha all snug as a bug in ya belly and watch him cme just before u get infuced lol xxx
