Weight loss in third trimester

I have a high BMI and currently 29+4 weeks pregnant. Had no problems at all but have very little appetite over over the last few weeks.

I weighed myself out of curiosity a few weeks ago and noticed I've lost nearly half a stone. Normally I'd be pleased but obviously it's not ideal at the moment. I'm not not exercising much (looking after the horses when I have the energy) and working full time.

Would you be worried?

I think unless you're measuring small it doesn't matter. I have lost weight too and have a high bmi. I am measuring smack bang on the line though so baby obviously isn't suffering. Ask your midwife about it if you're worried though.

I'm 31 weeks, haven't lost weight but haven't put any on for 10 days which I too was initially pleased about as the gain prior to that was pretty steady and higher than recommended. However I then thought oh I hope that's ok with regard to baby growing... I have been really trying to stay off the junk food lately but still eating very well, certainly not restricting what I eat. Got a midwife appt next week so if the measurements are fine I won't worry. (And be glad the weight has leveled out a bit!)

Thanks for the replies :)

Baby is measuring fine according to scans and tape measure and he's very active so I'm thinking he's doing ok which is the main thing :)

Just managed some supper but now feel quite full and sick like I've over eaten - was only a bit of bangers and mash!!

I'll keep an eye on weight. Scan on 7th November and midwife soon too :)
