feeling faint after GTT

Did anyone else feel awful after they took the glucose tolerance test?? I think it might be down to the heat (had it today)because I fainted! How do they expect pregnant women to fast and then down a yucky drink?? It all came back up anyway!

God yes. I went back to work after mine and had to go out of the lesson in the afternoon because I almost fell over. Very unpleasant.

I was okay thank goodness (but I love Lucozade which is what they got me to drink). But yep the heat didn't help. My HV told me to go straight home and lie down, which I did. Didn't need an excuse for that one mind you

It tests for gestational diabetes. I never had a problem with it. You should get it done, usually at about 26 weeks to be on the safe side for you and the baby.
