I'm 6+5 and not far off! Grin
For me it's mostly bloating at the moment though... But still!

moobaloo · 19/10/2013 10:58

8+6 and undoing my jeans when I eat dinner! They're feeling very tight!!

Mogz · 19/10/2013 11:03

Haha, I'm 33+6 and considering just wearing a fucking tent as that's what all my clothes look like now!

JuniorMint · 19/10/2013 11:10

Ha ha Mogz!

Oh, I think a shopping trip for leggings and long floaty tops is in order...

Yes in fact I'm just setting off to buy some maternity clothes at 12+3. This is my second (earlier bump) so I didn't feel quite as bad doing the rubber band jeans thing at 8 weeks!

Mogz · 19/10/2013 11:52

Never mind eh? I'm sure we all look beautiful and blooming Smile
Tunic tops have been good to me, just bought a size up from normal, and wear them over leggings or stretchy smart trousers so I can push the waist bands right down to get comfy.

Anothermrssmith · 19/10/2013 14:50

I was in maternity jeans by 12 weeks,at that point could still get into normal jeans but couldn't breathe...

Got the ones from next with elastic panels at each side that you can adjust as you get bigger. They're so comfy I honesty may never wear normal jeans again!

PistachioTruffle · 19/10/2013 15:03

I was reeaaallly bloated from very early on, and then stayed the same size until about 20 weeks as bloat was gradually replaced by baby bump Grin I wore lots of floaty tops and dresses in the meantime while I tried to hide it!

(Psst, GillyBilly, were you on the ttc boards under a similar nickname?)

Tea1Sugar · 19/10/2013 16:36

I'm 13+4 and just ordered some maternity stuff which I think I'll be in in a couple of weeks. Last pregnancy was maternity jeans at 10 weeks!

JuniorMint · 19/10/2013 16:44

So what's the deal with buying maternity clothes then, particularly jeans/trousers? Do you buy in your normal dress size? Or a size up?

OP posts:
TheNobodies · 19/10/2013 17:10

I'm around 10 weeks and have to wear Jeggins because they are elasticy! When I lie down my stomach feels hard to, excited now but i bet in 20 weeks time we will all be moaning, haha!

DirtyDancing · 19/10/2013 17:13

Bump bands. Great invention & will save you some money until your bump full pops out. I was wearing trousers with a bump band into my second tri xx

GillyBillyWilly · 19/10/2013 17:49

Pistachio! Yes it's me! Gillywillywoo! Grin

Geneticsbunny · 19/10/2013 18:10

I don't even fit into my maternity trousers any more. Need to buy bigger pants this week. Weight gain/ shape change seems to be pretty variable. This is my 3rd and I am sure I fitted in my maternity trousers till the end last time. Juniormint i have always bought maternity clothes in my size and this time round got a few non maternity things a couple of sizes too big for the first few months of the pregnancy. Seems to have been ok so far apart from the trousers. Stretchy dresses are great as they are comfy and harder to get too big for.

PostmanPatAlwaysRingsTwice · 19/10/2013 20:26

I always buy mat clothes in my usual size but get normal clothes (big pants, nightshirt for hospital) in a couple of sizes up. Depends how big your bump gets compared to the rest of you!

PistachioTruffle · 19/10/2013 20:29

Aaah, huge congratulations Gilly! Grin I'd been wondering how you were getting on, fabulous news!

Sorry to derail your thread OP. I found the sooner I gave in to wearing maternity trousers (under bump style) the sooner I was comfy! Go on, give them a go, your belly will thank you Wink

GillyBillyWilly · 19/10/2013 20:35

Thanks pistachio! Smile
Due on 9th June I think!!!

Hope you're doing well!

So I'm only 6+5 today but I bought a maternity belt type thing today... Don't quite need it yet but I wanted to buy SOMETHING! Grin

GillyBillyWilly · 19/10/2013 20:35

Band not belt!

MrsRV · 19/10/2013 21:16

10 +2 with DC2. Last day of fave pair of skinny jeans today. Pissed right off. At that "just look fat" stage & too early for maternity clothes. just bastard big ones. A friend text me who I haven't seen in a while to ask if I'm showing. I replied that the fucking pies are showing!!!!!

MrsRV · 19/10/2013 21:21

Apologies for extensive swearing.

GandTnow · 19/10/2013 21:23

10 weeks tomorrow and feel huge, just been to family party while people speculated that it must be twins as I'm so huge. Nice to feel loved! Grin Can't wait til after the scan so that I can tell everyone else and not care that I look like I eat a balloon.

Maternity jeans in the house and pjs and undone jeans outside the house.. just, if I don't breathe! Blush

TobyLerone · 19/10/2013 21:46

First trimester bloating is the worst. I empathise!

At least I'm supposed to look like the back end of a bus at 29 weeks :o That in-between stage where nothing fits because normal clothes are too small and maternity clothes are too big is awful. I was lucky and mostly got away with floaty maxi dresses because it was still summer.

I recommend New Look maternity leggings. I have 4 different pairs of maternity jeans and I hate them all. I'm yet to find a comfortable pair.

SaggyIsHavingAPinkKitten · 19/10/2013 21:57

Still in my normal trousers at nearly 20 weeks. Grin

SaggyIsHavingAPinkKitten · 19/10/2013 22:00

Although if im being totally truthful, Im quite big anyway, my bump is just filling up my delightful 'apron' left over fron the last 2 pgs and pushing everything else upwards! If I eat a big meal by upper belly sticks out and I like like im 8 months! Blush Confused Grin

Mim78 · 19/10/2013 22:32

I didn't think of the hair bobble! Until recently I was just going around with jeans undone and a long top over them. Didn't fall down though.
