I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my second child. I've woken up this morning to what I think is spotting. I have a small amount of blood mixed with cm when I wipe, it's a bit like you sometimes get before your period starts. I've felt different the last couple of days too - I lost that awful tiredness and have been up past 11 the last two nights which just felt wrong. I'm not having any cramps although the area feels tender - I don't know if I'm just imagining that though.

What happens now - do I call the maternity unit and see if I can get an early scan or do I just wait and see what happens?

Thanks for the link LittlePeaPod, I'm so sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I do have some questions so will head over there.

HootShoot. If you have any questions you are more than welcome to PM me too and I will happily answer where I can based on how DH and I coped with our loss. Thank you for your thoughts.

Oh hoot so sorry this has happened. :(

HootShoot · 22/10/2013 19:55

Me too atomic Sad I'm absolutely devastated about it all. Full on bleeding kicked in this afternoon, it's been such an awful day. Trying to console myself with a glass of wine and GBBO, it's tempting to drink the lot but that's probably not very sensible.

Thank you though to everyone who has consoled and supported me over the last few days. You all kept me sane, I don't know what I would have done without you.

Oh drink the lot why not! I know it's probably not helpful right now, but at least you know you got pregnant easily this time. Things weren't right and so life works it out for you.
I miscarried twice and both times this is what I told myself 1)I can get pregnant 2)better early than later
I'm quite an analytical person though so that might not help you.
But big hugs and just live a day at a time lor an hour at a time) for a bit.

HootShoot · 22/10/2013 20:06

That's true both times we have got pregnant by dtd 3 or 4 days before ovulation - odd but it seems to work for us. I think you are right about looking at it logically.

I'll drink my wine and take it one day at a time.

Hoot, just enjoy the entire bottle! Oh, and a big piece of cake, too!! Grin I had a miscarriage 10 years ago and thought I would turn into a hermit crab, but my husband sure changed that! He was so supportive! I also had a d&c the day after I found out, which provided much needed closure for me.

I have continued to spot thoughtout the day, today. Sorry if tmi, but really pink/red this morning then brown with small pieces of "tissue" (maybe??) this afternoon. Cramping and back pains this morning. Headache all day. Have not taken any meds. I sure wish I knew what was happening. Since my husband is out of town this week, I do not want to go to the doctor. Unless things get worse, I will wait until next Tuesday. Any advice? Ideas?
