With the thrush and bloody itchy piles I'm feeling pretty miserable. Am 36 weeks

It's the same thing, caneston is the brand name, fluconazole is the active ingredient. I used the pessary prescribed by the gp.

Have you had a swab taken?
I had this from about 31 weeks, constant, awful, nothing helped.
Turned out I had Strep B.
Not saying you have but just worth checking?

Fluconazole is not the active ingredient in all Canesten preparations - the creams and pessary are clotrimazole (of varying strengths).

Fluconazole is the capsule treatment for thrush (and other fungal infections).

OP - if it's refusing to go, get a swab taken to make sure it is actually thrush before further treatment.
