So I have that joy that pregnancy beholds and i'm constipated!
My fibogel, linseed and high fibre diet is not quite cutting the mustard now so I have gone and brought prune juice.
I'm not excited but needs must. Now, I rely hope your going to tell me I don't need to drink too much for effect!
Am I being optimistic to hope you might tell me half a glass will do the trick?
Thanks x

Hi! I'm in exactly same position, constipation actually making me quite I'll. DH bought me prune juice on Tuesday and I had a v small glass in the evening and I could go about an hour or so later. I'm so backed up (sorry tmi) that I needed another dose the next morning. now having a glug morning and night and slowly but surely I'm starting to move again. Not fun though and not v tasty (though could be worse_)
Good luck!

I've been using lepicol after getting a recommendation on here. It's amazing. The only thing that's ever worked for me. I have IBS though so have always had trouble in this area. Going to continue with it after pregnancy.

Prune juiCE is actually pretty effective but for maximum effect you need a full glass each day. Its vile stuff but is more bearable if ice cold and drank in a couple of goes. I have suffered bad with constipation this time and did before pg, i have movicol, lactulose, fibregel, you name. When i put prune juice in the mix it has the desired result! :-)
