Question about urine

Sorry - I seem to have so many questions

I have had plenty to drink today, however when I went for a wee before leaving work the urine was the colour of straw - really dark, dull urine. It just seems strange (and it was quite a big wee as well so presumably there was plenty of 'liquid' in me.)

Also I noticed I had discharge, not the stretchy EWCM stuff but more like snot - yellowish and thicker.

Sorry for the content but anything to worry about? I'm particularly 'concerned' about the colour of my urine as even first thing in the morning it hasn't been that dark for ages.

How far along are you Moon? It'd be best to mention this to your midwife or GP, ask them to do a test on your urine to check infection, kidney/liver function etc.
In the mean time keep drinking as much as possible.

Are you taking Pregnacare? That turns my urine a darker colour when I've started taking it. If you google it it's quite a common observation.

Obviously mogz is right re keeping an eye on it but it could be as simple as your pregnancy vitamin.

Mine has been darker throughout pregnancy, they test it at my midwife apps and seems ok from the basic test but I keep worrying I'm not drinking enough water! I try but I'm not that thirsty so I have to force myself to remember to drink during the day. Was hoping it was normal for it to be darker during pregnancy?

anyway. I second what everyone else says. The vits and folic acid tablets make your wee darker. I have the occasional panic when I see it but its been happening for weeks!

I was taking pregnacare and noticed my urine was bright yellow but this is a different colour again more like straw. I had to stop with pregnacare as they were making me sick.
