And how do you use it? I've read in a magasine to use it in the bath, but on a previous thread someone said they rubbed it on their bump, but didn't say whether it was neat or in carrier oil. Is it safe to use it neat?

Hi there happy1, when are you due? I used it to try to start my labour last time round as i had premature ruptured membranes, i rubbed it neat onto the bump regularily it smelt great but it didnt work for me;o good luck!!

Clary sage shouldn't be used if you are epileptic.

I put a few drops in a carrier oil and rubbed it on my bump. I don't think you are supposed to use it neat.

happy1 · 21/02/2004 09:46

Khara did it work?

DEFINITELY NOT neat! Well diluted in carrier oil or on a tissue or burner or in a bath.
I don't thoink I'd use it to get going but to improve "slow" contractions.
