Got a BFP on Sunday (4.5weeks gone, this will be dc2 for us all bring well). My stomach has literally BALLOONED and I am easily as big as I was at 16-18 weeks first time round. How on earth am I going to hide it for the next eight weeks?! And am I going to shortly start eclipsing the sun?? Someone has jokingly mentioned twins but as there is recent and historic family history of this I'm getting slightly concerned!! And breathe...

Its probably bloating, I don't think even with twins you would show that early. Unless your further on than you think. Congratulations on your bfp Thanks

Happened to someone I knew and yes it was twins!

Time to take out some multiple birth insurance???

Was your last period typical of how they are usually?

MrsRandom78 · 16/10/2013 23:23

Oh god. Don't tell me that! Bog standard period, eating like a horse but not put on any weight other than gigantic tummy! Pregnancy is weird...

Constipation?

MrsRandom78 · 17/10/2013 20:31

Don't think so - everything normal in that department! It's massive. No way I'll be able to hide it if it stays like this! Booking appt with midwife on Monday so maybe she can shed some light!

I was very big very early too and I've only got one in there! I think if you're slim or short to begin with you show a lot quicker - that's what everyone keeps telling me anyway!

CuteLittleToes · 17/10/2013 20:59

I've heard that with subsequent pregnancies you start "showing" much earlier, which is just bloating. Can be quite severe... Apparently it does go away after a bit...

MrsRandom78 · 17/10/2013 21:19

Definitely not slim or particularly short! Looks like bloating it is!!

I had horrendous bloating in the early stages of my pregnancy (first) was advised by another MNer to try these probiotic tablets and they made a huge difference.
