I had my DD 14weeks ago and for the last 6 weeks iv been losing loads of hair, I know it's common but how long does it go on for? Every time I brush/wash my hair it comes out and I have to clean my brush everyday. Bit worried that in going to end up balled as I'm starting to get a thin patch at the front Sad My hair was lovely when I was pregnant, I could go 3-4 days without washing it but now I have to wash it everyday as it gets greasy, any ideas what can help my hairloss and greasiness?

Mine carried on falling out till 6-7 months postpartum. It came out by the handful! Hairdresser recommended gently washing it with baby shampoo everyday.

This happened both pregnancies for me and each time I got to the point of worrying about how much more hair I could loose without out going bald. It all turned out fine in the end, probably lasted 6 months then back to my usual unstylable, unmanageable birds nest, head of hair!

It most likely only seems balding because you're used to the unusual lush growth.

If you think the shedding sucks, wait for the regrowth fuzz halo Grin

Lol at Regrowth fuzz, my ds is 11 month and the front of my hair is all over, bits that are about an inch long sticking up all over, I had lovely hair before I had kids it took till my dd was 2.5 till it was nearly back to normal now it's all ratty again. Ah the joys of pregnancy/ hormones
