Hi, I'm 40+2 and baby has been very quiet this morning. I was awake early hours from around 3-4 am and didn't feel anything I've been awake since about 7.30 now and have felt practically nothing.
I was led in bed for a good half hour, git up had breakfast and still nothing!

how soon should I start to worry and call the hospital?

Go with your extinction. If you are worried phone now for piece of mind.

BabsAndTheRu · 15/10/2013 08:58

Instincts not extinction stupid autocorrect.

LadyMedea · 15/10/2013 08:58

Go in and get monitored. Better safe than sorry!

Hawkmoth · 15/10/2013 08:59

Writerwannabe83 · 15/10/2013 08:59

Definitely phone the maternity ward. Good luck & come back & tell us how you got on

4athomeand1cooking · 15/10/2013 09:07

You need to go in. In the meantime drink a large glass of icy cold water and see if that wakes the little one up.

TeamSouthfields · 15/10/2013 09:11

please go now.

curlew · 15/10/2013 09:13

My dd went over by 6 days and on that 6th day she did'nt move at all. I was in for sweep anyway that day so i told midwife who gave me sweep and told me not to worry. Didnt listen to hb or monitor. In hindsight i wish id pushed for more but was first dc and i trusted the staff.
Shortly after sweep i was in full blown labour and luckily had my dd , i say luckily as the cord was round her neck 4 times. It had slowly been strangling her and restricting her movements. She was blue when delivered but started breathing thank god and is now my healthy, intelligent 7 year old.
Im not trying to scare you and my experience probably isnt that common, but follow your instincts and go to the epau xx

moanymandy · 15/10/2013 09:49

moanymandy · 15/10/2013 13:03

well I'm home now. was on the monitor for a good hour or so and typically as soon as the midwife put the straps on baby came alive!!

But doubly gkad I went as my blood pressure is high and they want to keep qn eye on ut si had to have bloods taken and got to go back tomorrow if no better then they want to think about induction.

Could also see some tightenings on the monitor so think labour is on it's way. I had the same issues with dc1 so im hoping baby coming this time!

Thank you for your advice I will update tomorrow/later if any progress Thanks
