I'm 30+4 weeks and all day, well since about 2am I've been having dull achey cramps at the bottom of my bump that every now and then I get a sharp pain that lasts a few seconds and is gone.

I've called the midwife about it and she isn't worried, but I was wondering if any of you have any tips on how to make me feel a bit better.

I feel really run down and worn out, but I can't sleep because the pain keeps waking me up and lying down makes my heartburn worse.

Sorry for the moan.

Can you take some paracetamol and have a warm bath? Might help you relax. Best thing you can do is take it easy. Can you prop yourself up in bed or on the sofa and put your feet up?

I cant have a bath as I'm home alone and cant get in or out on my own as my hips/back don't let me.

Another vote for paracetamol and a warm bath, then wrap up nice and warm and prop yourself up on the sofa with lots to drink. Sounds like they might be Braxton Hicks, I hear they feel quite different from woman to woman.

In that case, pick yourself a film, change into your loosest clothes, take the paracetamol and sit down with a cup of coco and don't move til you have to.

Do you take any pregnancy vitamins? Focus here sounds like it should be resting and winding down as much as possible. Have your bloods been taken recently to check your iron levels. Forget about cooking today get a pizza or something and as soon as dp/dh gets home get him to run you a bath and help you into it.

I had my 31 week MW appointment today and she said my bloods were fine. I apparently have a lovely high iron count haha.

I don't think they're braxton hicks, I thought that was the tightening at the top of the bump. I get that a lot too. It's just making me feel pretty crappy. Like when you're on your period and have cramps.

I wish there was a magic pill to take to make pregnancy easy.

hey,

I'm 30 +2, and I think I know what you are talking about as I have had this for the last couple of days.

I thought at first it was baby getting in some awkward uncomfortable position which was making it hurt but now I don't think that's what it is.

I have had times when bump goes really hard all over, and I get like a dull ache in my lower abdomen but it doesn't really hurt as such.

I thought it might be BH. I wont be seeing midwife until next week but i'll ask her when I do.

As the other ladies have said, I would rest and maybe take a Paracetamol.

went for a walk and they don't seem to be as bad when I'm walking. Now I'm sat down again they've started back up. Might just have to keep walking on the spot forever Grin
