DD has been shipped off to hubby's family today & now I'm lying in bed feeling AWFUL.

I've been up all night with stomach cramps, sickness & diarrhoea. I'm 9 weeks prego - will baby be ok or should I call the Dr??? I don't dare eat & so worried as had a MC in July.

Baby will be ok, unfortunately its just you that will suffer. Try sipping luke-warm water or flat lemonade or if you have any ice lolly's left from summer they are quite good to suck on. So long as you keep sipping fluids it will pass without a problem. The main thing is to stay as hydrated as you can.

Baby will be fine. As Craving Cake says fluids are the thing. Try to sip teaspoons of fluids until able to take higher volumes on board. Ready salted crisps are good after a bout of illness as got carbs, salt, fat and gentle on sore tummies

I've called NHS 111 who have made me a hospital appointment for 1pm. All symptoms seem to have got better but now unbearable back pain - is this normal? I've not really had any sickness bugs before like this!

Oh you poor thing. I had a sickness bug when I was nine weeks too and it just makes you feel so rotten. Sure you'll be fine but it's always good to see the doctor or midwife and put your mind at rest if you're fretting. Be sure to drink lots if you can (those rehydration sachets from the chemist are fine to use in pregnancy) and get lots of rest. Take care x

I had food poisoning at about the same time, went to docs they said nothing you can take and not to worry but just try not go get dehydrated. Lots of diaralyte worked for me. Hope you feel better soon
