Due end of November and I'm beginning to envision a very lonely maternity leave with only baby babble for company.

Where have all the pregnant ladies in this area gone?

No, me too, although I'm further up North near MK.
Have you checked your local children's centre? They sometimes do "Bumps and Babes" groups where you might meet other mums to be.
Or try pregnancy yoga groups; or of course NCT classes if this is your first!

And once you have baby, there are a myriad of other places - baby/toddler play groups, baby massage, baby yoga, baby swimming, baby music groups etc etc... And you can also do one if those NHS postnatal groups. Lots of places to meet other mums and babies!

I'm near the Buckinghamshire border over in Hertfordshire.. don't think that counts though!!

Nope it's my second baby & can't really justify paying out for NCT. We are doing some of the free NHS ones, purely to meet others - but nobody talks to each other! They just sit there listen to the class & go!

I've put ads on the netmums meet a mum boards...it's so hard finding people who will actually want to meet up after. I guess il just have to wait & try the mums & babies groups - just don't like currently feeling I may be all alone all the time!

Lots of the regulars at groups and things in this area seem to be nannies rather than mum's. & doesn't overly help that I can't drive so stuck to immediate area...
