36+4 and fresh blood spots

hi all im 36+4 and yesterday i had a few fresh blood spots in my under wear how ever this was not mucusy at all it was like spotting before a period also today ive had more of the same thing but more of it nothing mucusy with it again just fresh blood spots now i did see the midwife yesterday who was not at all concerned nor bothered she was not my usual midwife i am not concerned but just wondered what it could be obv it got heavy i would go go to hospital anyone else had this that can share some info? thanks all and sorry about the tmi

This is probably no help but I had spotting with ds2 on and off from about 28wks and they told me they thought it was my cervix. Apparently this can happen when the pressure starts and he was just off 10lbs at birth so probably quite a porker at 28wks.

If it continues though, I'd phone the mat ward, say you're anxious and can you come in to be checked over.

I had a couple of spots of red blood on Tues (now 35+4). My midwife told me to ring triage as I hadn't had sex which is a common cause so didnt know where it was coming from. Anyway they said to pop a pad on and monitor it closely and if there was any more they wouldn't want to leave it and would want me to go in but luckily there was no more.

So it sounds like maybe its a common time for it but I'd get it checked if it continues.

thanks pink but its not constant just now and again my midwife is useless she didnt seem worried last night i had about 2 hours of regular quite strong braxtons and constant back pressure it actually woke me so not sure maybe my body is getting ready
