Dreams during pregnancy

Is it just me or has anyone else had really vivid dreams since they've been pregnant?

I don't know if it's because I'm not sleeping through anymore and therefore having more dreams, but some of them are well and truly strange!

I've already had two dreams about having a girl; in one I had to have a section and didn't know what I had until my parents' next door neighbour brought her to me from the top of the hill near where they live Hmm and then last night I had a very quick labour which didn't hurt at all and a baby girl popped out...Grin

I already have a DS and really do not mind what we get; but I'm thinking my brain is gearing up for another boy.....Grin

Vivid...random...bizarre...erotic... all ways I would describe my dreams Grin

When I was expecting dd I kept dreaming she was a boy (we didn't find out). I don't think I had any dreams that she was a girl. I'm fairly certain we're having a boy this time and two days ago dreamed I gave birth to a girl!

Yeah strange, vivid, bizarre, erotic dreams here too!! Can't remember half of them now but had some strange ones!!
Must be something to do with the hormones surely!! Xx

I keep dreaming I've gone into labour (am 36+4 today) and waking up desperate for a wee and with BH. Shit me up the first time.

(Thought the needing a wee thing was my waters about to go...)

CherryLips1980 · 09/10/2013 12:32

Turns out I just needed a wee. No baby yet.

charlottesweb87 · 09/10/2013 12:43

Yep the most strange dreams I have ever had! Some scary, some erotic and some just plain odd. Your not alone!

SmallBee · 09/10/2013 13:13

I've had some brilliantly strange ones.
last night I was judging a cello playing contest in the style of British Bake off to see who would join my orchestra.
The other night Will Smith called me as his daughter with Beyoncé had gone missing, I was a member of the police squad tasked with finding her, which was headed up by Patrick Stewart. Eventually we found her in a mansion.
I am very much enjoying my strange dreams.

Lots of weird dreams for me too. I just try to enjoy them. I've started making a dream journal. Plus, I use the website dreambible.com and some of them are starting to make sense.

Inglori0us · 28/10/2013 19:32

Same here. Totally weird and vivid dreams. Also sec dreams. Very disturbing. I had a dream I arranged an annual shag (on 13th October every year) with my boyfriend from my teenage years (who I'm still friends with now). WTF brain???

Inglori0us · 28/10/2013 19:32

Sex not sec, obvs.

Anothermrssmith · 28/10/2013 20:15

Have had lots of outright weird dreams as well but my husband genuinely thinks I should be put into an institution because my dreams are that weird so I'm not necessarily blaming them on pregnancy! For example,I once had a dream that the world was overrun by microscopic ailens that had human size hands and feet.so there was loads of hands attached to feet chasing me everywhere.)

Never used to have sex dreams though, now in the other hand...

lizziekal · 28/10/2013 20:26

Erm...bit embarrassed to ask this.... but has anyone else woken up to find themselves having an actual orgasm during an erotic dream? Happened last week (at 15 weeks) and really (really) freaked me out.

RaRa1988 · 29/10/2013 09:51

Love the annual shag, Inglori0us - that's brilliant Grin.

Yeah, Lizzie, I do that quite regularly Hmm. God knows why! But I'd say I have one (orgasmic dream, not orgasm lol) a month. Nowt to do with being pg for me.
