AV malformation in uterus

the above term has been used to describe whats in my uterus right now....

im 32 weeks pregnant, have had two previous c secs....had a big bleed at 20 weeks lost lots of blood. detailed scan revealed I had lots of extra blood vessels in my uterus.

baby is growing fine. have a c sec planned at 38 weeks. todays consultant appt freaked me out a bit. she said she had never seen this av malformation extra blood vessels in uterus before but they would do their best to stop bleeding after delivering baby....when I asked her best case and worst case scenario she said best case - deliver baby and stop bleeding. worst case - hysterectomy or death (!)

as u can imagine the death bit scared me and the fact she has never seen this before unnerved me.

my question - has anyone had this before or able to give me any advice please, needless to say am very worried.

thanks in advance for any replies.

Hey hun,

God I know this was 10 years ago... But I wonder if you can tell me your experience of this? I have just been told I might have this from having an mri. I had a c section 4 months ago (continuous bleeding). I've been told I need an additional scan to check the blood flow to confirm.

I am petrified, did yours get all sorted and what surgery did you have?

Thank you xx
