Hi, I'm new to this. I had my first pregnancy confirmed last Friday by doctor. My lmp was 24th April but as I have PCOS my cycle is usually 7-8 weeks. He placed me at 8 weeks but won't know for sure till scan. I've had brown discharge whenever I go to the loo and wipe for over a week - no pain, no morning sickness and no bleeding other than when I wipe. Is this normal or do you think I should go back to doctors? I'm waiting for booking in date from hospital and haven't had any contact with midwife yet.

i had tons of brown discharge, its 'old blood' and your fairly safe with this. take it easy and call them if it gets heavier or more 'red'

i also has this at around 10 weeks with my ds. It lasted a few days but like carlyp has said it was just old blood. I would just rest and if you get pains or it becomes heavier then contact your midwife or maternity assemement unit

Thanks everyone for your replies - you've put my mind at rest - I think I'll monitor it and if it's still happening next week will put a call into GP
