Hi guys,I'm currently 38+1 n always weigh myself on a mon's to keep tabs for weight loss after he's born. I've put a few lbs on again this week and I'm just wondering how true to the rule it is that u lose a few or it steadys out when ur little one is due to come? Xx

Dont think theres a rule to be honest.

With DS I put on 2kg in the first trimester, 9 in the second and NONE in the 3rd trimester! No idea why at all but your body knows what its doing.

I've gave up caring about the gain, passed 35lbs at about 6months lol. Just getting close now,12days til due date n obvi wondering when my little man will be coming,so just wondered if it's a true rule and sign he's coming if the weight levels out or u lose a bit x

After about 35w baby puts on about an ounce a day, which is half a pound a week. Even if you don't lay down extra fat stores (which you normally would because your body expects you to breastfeed and is stocking up) you'd still be gradually getting heavier on the scales.

Don't get on the scales - make sure you aren't feeling hungry or weak, or overfull, and make sure that you're getting a good range of nutrients from what you do eat.
