How many weeks pregnant are you and have you sought medical advice or attention??

octaviarose · 06/10/2013 20:34

Yes medically all is fine just seems a bit unusual so wondered if anyone else had experienced this.

Yes I did and all turned out well. But it was really scary. Do get it checked out if you haven't already, though.

woowa · 06/10/2013 20:36

have you had an ultrasound scan since you started bleeding? You should have one if not, as long as you are 8 weeks plus.

AChickenCalledKorma · 06/10/2013 20:38

Cross post. Glad you've had it checked out. Hope all carries on being OK for you. The child I thought I was losing is now eight years old. Never did find out what was going on and it was a stressful time.

Thanks everyone I guess I just leave it to Mother Nature now!

hi ive had this and had to have a detailed ultrasound scan which revealed I had extra blood vessels in my uterus. do keep persisting in finding out why its happening as I didn't and ended up having a massive bleed mid-pregnancy (sorry dont want to scare you). all ok with me and baby though Smile

plentyofsoap · 06/10/2013 22:33

Yes lots, went on for weeks it was a haematoma which healed by 12 weeks.

Smerlin · 07/10/2013 10:17

Yes - also a hematoma that healed eventually. Not a nice time though.

Writerwannabe83 · 07/10/2013 11:53

I had a big bleed almost 2 weeks ago - lots of fresh red blood at 15 weeks pregnant. I then continued to lose dry/old blood for about 4 days.

Nobody seemed to concerned as to why it happened.. Hmm

I'm having a Private scan this Friday and I'm kind of hoping that something shows up that might explain the bleed as the not knowing is making me very anxious that it might happen again.

southernbelle79 · 07/10/2013 12:55

writerwannabe83 - mine was probably Av malformation - extra blood vessels in uterus. .planning a c sec and consultant today said they will try and stop bleeding after baby delivery, though she added she has never seen it before. really reassuring ....not.

Xalla · 07/10/2013 13:02

I had a massive bleed at 9 weeks - literally pouring down my legs. Totally assumed I'd lost the baby and saw a heartbeat on a scan a couple of days later. I carried on bleeding on and off until 16 weeks. I'm 36 weeks now.

Jollyb · 08/10/2013 11:34

Yes. I bled at 6 and 10 weeks. Terrifying as have had several miscarriages. DD is 11 weeks now. Good luck
