Just need a little moan after feeling very strange for the past few days, and would like to know if anyone have felt like this too.

  • sudden hot flushes lasting about 20 times
  • migraines without the pain eg eyes go fuzzy and having flashes like in corner of eyes
  • pins and needles in legs and arms but only on right hand side. Which is strange as I only lie on the right!
  • spots appearing suddenly on my face
  • sudden reaction to gaviscon, my mouth looks like it's been burnt ( which is very annoying as I have very bad heartburn an my GP won't give me anything else!)
  • and finally, I thought I was supposed to feel the baby less by this point but I am constantly getting kicked and punched (baby is engaged and in MW words "locked loaded and ready to go"!)

Tia x

Laura I am due 15th November and could have written your post exactly!!

I don't think any if what you list are anything to worry about but maybe contact your midwife if you do feel concerned!

Hi Laura, and madamcastafoire

Do not intend to freak you out as I know very little about this visual disturbances can be a sign of pre eclampsia. I do know that if you do have symptoms of pre eclampsia, you need to speak to a midwife. Can I suggest you call you community midwife or labour ward to speak to a midwife to see what they say. They will know if it is anything that needs to be checked or not. Please do not leave this till the morning, midwives get calls all the time on a sundy night and won 't think you are being silly or over reacting.

I really hope this hasn't made you worried, but does make you call them.
No doubt they will say it is nothing to worry about and will be fine, then you can sleep easy!

Ho Whoop. Mine isn't pre eclampsia as I actually have low blood pressure but thanks for advice.

Maybe best you ring midwife then Laura, do you have any swelling?

laura2323 · 06/10/2013 20:02

Saw MW yesterday for a check up had no protein in urine which I thought was sign of pre eclampsia! And BP was normal. No swelling as such but I had to take my rings off yesterday!! Might give her a quick call x
