Getting hairy??

Is it just me or did anyone else find themselves getting hairier with pregnancy?

I'm currently 15+2 and am so, so happy to say that I now have an a vinous baby bump but with it has accompanied 'downy hair' across my stomach! My auntie pointed it out to me and I was mortified!!

Now I'm obsessed that my cheeks look 'downy' Hmm

Thankfully I'm very fair but I'm still getting panicked now that I'm going to turn into a werewolf Hmm

Same here - downy hair on my bump. I asked my MW about it and she told me it's very common.

I wouldn't shave it though Smile

I've found since I've been pregnant my belly is Sooo hairy!! The hair is blonde so you can't see it but I can and it's horrible.. DP thinks it's funny lol

My bump mortifies me. I have very dark hair that is very noticeable. It just appeared overnight when I was about 15 weeks and I keep thinking it's getting worse. Sad

I get insanely hairy when pregnant. Isn't it something to do with the hormones stopping your hair falling out (the same reason the hair on your head gets nice and thick)?

Writerwannabe83 · 07/10/2013 19:19

Well we are finding out the sex this Friday MOTU so I will let you know Grin

Why don't our hormones want our hair to fall out??
Why would our hair fall out though?!

Yes I look like I've been to Smiffys for a pregnant gorilla outfit. I was the same with my last pregnancy.

Don't shave your belly hair.

That would be a terrible mistake, so I've heard.Blush

What do we think about epilating belly hair?

Writerwannabe83 · 07/10/2013 20:16

Epillators scare me Grin

I get that writerwannabe but I use it on my legs so reckon I'd be tough enough...

Writerwannabe83 · 07/10/2013 20:18

I've only ever tried one on my legs once.....I didn't last very long! Grin

Maybe some Veet??

It's falling out now. DD is fourteen weeks old. Soon I can pretend it never happened.

I've been waxing forever...

I stopped in first trimester and have been having Hollywood waxes since my second - I'm not 34 + 1 ...I've always been hairy and pregnancy has just amplified it. I wouldn't use hair removal creams as I'm not sure the chemicals are all that great for you or your skin.

I have noticed that my skin is more sensitive now and that I get little white heads after waxing and also a but more redness. I will, however, persevere!
