Years of care work pre M&H training has left me with it. My back is bloody yakking, shooting pains down my leg and foot. I'm using a hot water bottle for my lumber region but can anyone suggest anything else please? Usually Brufen helps but I'm 7 wks PG and can't take it. Confused

Bless you its so painful. I had it after giving birth and as I was bf couldn't have the really strong painkillers I paid for private physio and acupuncture. It really worked for me

Thanks, Wishful, it's absolute agony. If its no better on Monday I'll head to GP for a referral for physio. I knew my back was loosening up, I must have been sleeping funny.

I only get it occasionally but I get DH to give me an incredibly firm massage from lower back down to ankle, then a long soak in a warm bath. Eases it off, and tends to be gone within a day or 2.

Oh a massage and a nice warm bath sounds good. Going to see if my leccy blanket helps too. I was awake till gone half 2 this am and fell asleep just through sheer exhaustion.
