I'm 34+5 weeks pregnant and over the last couple of days have started getting a lot of pain in my cervix. When I spoke to my midwife she thinks it sounds like the baby is dropping.

In a lot of pain and it's getting worse. Midwife suggested paracetamol is the only relief but it's having no effect.

Anything anyone can suggest to help would be appreciated.

also does anyone know how long the pain will last - would be nice to know there is an end in sight

You can take cocodamol when pg it's stronger than paracetamol so might help a little bit, iv never really had that pain I would ring triage if it gets too bad x

I'm 31+5 and started getting feelings like that yesterday evening. Phone midwife she said exactly the same as yours, it's normal and take a paracetamol. And exactly like you the paracetamol just isn't cutting it!
I'm about to get in to a warm bath, I don't expect it to help with the pain much but hoping it will relax me enough that it won't be such a bother.
Hope you find a way to cope, I guess it only stops onces little one is here!
