Early scan accurate???

I have slept with someone other than my on off partner, this was in the 17 august. I had a scan on the 3 oct which said i was 9wks 3 days. I have worked if it was this guys i should be 7 wks. I pray these scans are accurate and its my partners. Can they be wrong by two wks?

I had an early scan that put me at 7+1 when I should of been 8+2. Had my 12 week scan and they matched up with my correct dates.

I think they say 7 days either side. However, I'm not 100% sure.

So what I'm saying is I doubt think it could be that inaccurate. Did you ask Whoever done the scan?

If you did the deed with the other guy on 17 Aug u would be approx 9 weeks now. when u do the deed u are already classed as 2 weeks pg fingers crossed for u it's your dp'S

Yes was just about to make sure you knew that for dates you count from the date of the deed plus 2 weeks... so your 7 weeks could be their 9 weeks if you haven't added the 2 weeks IYSWIM.

Dates are so confusing I had an early scan that said I was 6 weeks then at my 12 week scan they said I was 14 weeks? So I don't really understand how they work fully but you should speak to someone whilst having your next scan to make sure! Hope it works out for you

My early scan put me at bang on 9 weeks but 12 week scan 3 week later i was dated @ 12+6 so they can be out a bit but id say 2 weeks out wud not be a common occurance. Good luck!

Were you sleeping with your on-off partner at the same time as you had sex with this other guy??

You need to look at what your ovulation date was in August and think that you could have conceived from sperm that had been released in you up to 5 days prior to that or potentially 2 days after you ovulated.

If in that 7 day window you only had sex with your usual partner then it is most likely this, however if you also had sex with the other guy in that time period then it could just as likely be his.

Riri, are you calculating correctly? It may be 7wks since you had sex with the other guy but that would make you 9wks pregnant.
You calculate day one as the first day of your last period so when you conceive you are considered already 2wks pregnant.

In other words, if you tested positive the day your period was due (assuming 28/29 day cycle), you would likely have conceived around 2wks earlier but you would already be considered 4wks. A dating scan putting you at 9wks 3days would mean you had conceived around 7wks before.
