I am 21 weeks pregnant and still have all day sickness. I went back to work Tuesday after being off for 15 weeks and am exhausted. I ended up calling in sick today, couldn't function. I'm constantly soooo tired and sicky and I'm fed up of it. I've practically been housebound for 4 months and I'm so sad Sad I thought I'd enjoy pregnancy, have a glow and all that shit.
Please tell me I'm not the only one to feel like this?

oh dear Penguin I'm really sorry.
My SIL had a terrible time as well, felt sick the entire time unless she was eating and couldn't face drinking anything but fizzy water. The light at the end of the tunnel was that she felt 100% better the moment her baby arrived and her baby is happy & healthy. I know at 21 weeks it seems ages away but hang in there it will all be worth it.

I had it for four months. I could hardly get out of bed, even water made me projectile hurl. It just cleared up overnight though so there's hope. :)

I was off for months during my pregnancy too. Please don't worry about work, if you don't feel up to going in then don't! Have you seen your GP for anti sickness meds such as cyclizine? When I was at around your stage of pregnancy I gradually started to feel a bit better, hope it's the same for you too and you get some relief soon.

Thanks all. Smallbee yes it feels like a loooong way to go Sad
Yes I am on Ondansetron. Feel guilty taking meds though as I worry about them having an effect on the baby.
Glad I'm not alone

You're not the only one by far Penguin. I've been off since I was 8weeks because of hyperemesis, I'm now almost 32weeks! I won't be back at work now until after maternity leave finishes next year. I do feel much better now than I did at the start but by far still too ill to function in a very stressful office. I feel very much like I've been robbed of the pregnancy I dreamed of, I've got no glow, no energy, no feeling of blooming. Instead I'm sad, lonely and bloody bored!

You are not alone, I have been sick, nauseous and exhausted all the way through so far and I am 35 weeks. I find rest, rest and more rest is the only thing I can do

FatPenguin · 04/10/2013 22:49

Mogz- that's exactly how I feel, sad lonely and bored. Roll on February!

I sympathise. My pregnancy was also not as I'd always hoped. Felt vile from beginning to end. But, it did get better within hours of the birth. You just have to grit your teeth & think of what the future holds. It's really worth it, a hundred times over.

Hi Hun I feel for you and could cry at the thought of still having sickness at 21 weeks, I'm 12 weeks and had sickness for about 9 weeks it's been the worst thing. Like you I feel exhausted and haven't been anywhere for 2 month. I love shopping eating out going out for walks and I haven't done any thing other than go to work . I feel guilty as I wanted a baby so bad. I alway wanted 2 children but this would worry me to have to struggle with sickness a 2 nd time around. I know it will pass but constant sickness and nausea is just exhausting and makes you feel isolated

I hope clears up for you soon, I can't imagine dealing with this for another 10 weeks or more
