Ug. There are worse things I know but it's crippling me.

I'm using hot water bottles and baths but any other tips on how to go five minutes without feeling like you're going to snap in half?

Paracetamol - it's safe in pregnancy... Other than hot water bottles and baths I haven't got much advice.
Get dp yo give your a back rub...

Sometimes when dp just rubs his hand over my back gently it makes such a difference

Mine feels much better if I do a bit of excersise in the day - think it loosens it up. Saying that even walking beyond a crawl gives me a stitch in my bump and makes my hips hurt, so not sure which is worse really! My midwife said the only other thing was cocodimol which they could give me if it was really bad, but as it isn't unbearable yet I'm sticking with hot baths and a back rub from DH.

Thanks ladies. Paracetamol doesn't really touch it. I try to get dh to rub my back but he does it whilst playing on his f*&king ipad and it winds me up so much I don't bother anymore.

I hear you with the exercise. It does seem to help but same as you, it really hurts me stomach so I'm not sure which is worse.

Oh dear, I can sympathise with the ipad obsession, DH is the same! Maybe mention to midwife then to see if she could prescribe some co-codimol? I've always suffered with back pain and its not got too much worse in pregnancy which is why I turned it down, but if you're really suffering then it might it a bit more managable for you.

Do you sit at a desk all day? If so then maybe you need a special chair or some other changes to your work area. I find sitting at a desk all day the worst thing. Hope you find something to help.

Don't get me wrong, I love my ipad but he's glued to the bloody thing!

Thanks, I'll have to go see a doctor as midwives in the States can't prescribe.

I'm off work now but know what you mean about sitting. It's the worst thing I can do!

Hi,

I find standing under a hot shower bliss. I can't comfy sitting in our bath. It seems to losen up a little.
Pregnancy yoga helps as well. A couple of times I find going on all fours helps to take the pressure off my back.
Good luck xx
