Hello,

I am in need of a maternity swimming costume. Can I ask where you got yours from and any recommendations??

xx

At this time of year I could only find them in Mothercare or JoJo Maman Bebe. Both the same price (around £25 I think) and both tankinis...
MC had a maternity top and normal pants, JMB had big pants and normal top.
I got the Mothercare one and it's been fine though a bit on the tight side across my back.

I got a Slazenger one from eBay (brand new with tags) - for £15. Has boob support and nice stretch bit at the front as well a back. Good if you want something for laps in the pool.

I had a Speedo one from eBay. It was 99 p. I' d really check eBay. I reckon there are lot of lightly used mater bury swimsuits out there, and no.longer pg ladies trying to raise a few pennies.

I just bought a zoggs two piece with shorts instead of briefs only to be told they are discontinued and I am getting a refund.

Back to the drawing board I go...

Next black tankini top which I wore with normal bikini bottoms. It was brilliant because it had ties you could pull in so lasted all the way through. It has now been passed around the village to other expectant mums.

Rhianna1980 · 04/10/2013 22:54

I recently got a black one from mothercare -£20 . It's fab!

3boys3dogshelp · 04/10/2013 23:01

I got a blooming marvellous tankini from mothercare online and love it (true to my normal dress size for me). m and p had lovely ones but my boobs were too big!!

Bodicea · 04/10/2013 23:01

Figleaves do some nice ones - I got a tanking which can double up as birthing cossie If you fancy a water birth

TobyLerone · 05/10/2013 06:47

Sounds like I got the same one as louloubellamozzarella. It's a pain in the arse to get off and on, and supremely unflattering, but it does the job.

There are tons on eBay -- new and used. Personally I wouldn't buy a second hand one, but if that's your bag you've got even more choice.

londonlivvy · 05/10/2013 06:52

I have a long body and found none of the swimsuits fitted me (this is also the case when not pregnant). also I had huge boobs (34h by the end) so a bra size bikini was the best option for me. I got it from brastop.co.uk and it was reasonably priced.

Mnippy · 05/10/2013 06:58

Try Figleaves - flattering, good quality, lasted multiple pregnancies.

nextphase · 05/10/2013 07:06

Next, plain black basics one, which (several years ago) was about £14.

Bumpiemalumpie · 05/10/2013 10:49

Thanks guys, with the Next ones, are they only online??

I had a whole faff of finding on online, ordering it, trying it on to discover it didn't even nearly fit.... Then I tried on my normal tankini and found it was absolutely fine (even tho I'm 35 weeks). It didn't occur to me to check the normal one first - I'm sure you have but thought I'd share just in case...

FraggleRock77 · 07/10/2013 02:34

I also had a huge faff finding one on line. After a LOT of ordering and returning Seraphine was the best option for me. Fitted really well. Not cheap though Grin

PinkWitch803 · 07/10/2013 04:33

I bought one and was really excited about it, but then got a call to tell me it was discontinued!

So then spent what felt like hours looking for something else. I have now ordered two different things from figleaves and hope I only have to send one back! If I have to send both back, it is back to the drawing board for me!

HystericalParoxysm · 07/10/2013 05:59

EmmaJane one from
Amazon

FraggleRock77 · 07/10/2013 09:30
