So I've just found out I'm pg...

...via First Response, and AF isn't due until Monday. I checked today because DP has been away and I thought it would be nice to welcome him back with the words "You're going to be a daddy" if I could. But now I'm a bit scared... what's the chance of this embryo only implanting for a couple of days? I've had early MCs before... In fact, I'm ttc after losing two babies this year and one last and I'm a little bit terrified

So sorry to hear of your previous losses & it will be a trying 10 weeks until scan but there's not much you can do so try to think positive.

Maybe you could make an app with doc to get an earlier scan if that would help-may depend on your history if they'd do this.

Thankyou . My GP said a few weeks ago that she'd get me in for an early scan and also hopefully regular visits to obstetrician based on what's happened already, so fingers crossed. Time to make a doctor's appt!

Barebranches: Brilliant! Hope I'm the same as you! It's just weird; I know that different women take different amounts of time to get a positive pg test, but I assumed that it would be roughly the same each time for the same woman if that makes sense? But my first pg this year took until I was 2wks late to get a positive, the second was positive ridiculously early though I don't know how early as it was following a D&C, and this one is four days early!

Congratulations!!! I don't think hormones follow rules!! I didn't get a positive test until four days after my period should have come with my first and got a positive the day before with my current pregnancy! I would see it as a good sign of strong and multiplying hormone levels??

I sound like you, very early days (4+2) with faint positive test results and had 2 MCs in the last year. My obs said I could get a scan at 8 weeks and this seems like an age away!
I feel much more pregnant this time, sore boobs, tired, grouchy, headache and full blown morning sickness, and this is making me hope its a goodun.

Congratulations!!! Hope this one's a keeper! You should tell him as soon as he walks in the door, let yourselves get excited. I don't believe in tempting fate, it'll happen or it won't but being positive wont be the thing that determines what happens. If anything I believe that being positive will help, stress helps nothing!

Same thing happened to me. BFP 4 days before AF due. AF never came and I now have one year old twins :)

Ooooh I'd love twins! ...preferably next pg though lol. Thanks so much guys - DP now isn't going to be home until about 1900 and I'm itching to tell him! Bet you anything there wouldn't have been this delay on him getting back if I didn't have exciting news (the bastard)! Got the pg tests on the desk in front of me (at home, not at work!!!) and I keep checking them cos I can't quite believe it's true!

I got a positive 5 days before period was due and I'm now 35+3

Yep, I got possie last Saturday, 4 days b4 AF due. I only tested because I was feeling so hormonal I thought I was going to explode!
Tell us all about it when you've told him!

I told him on Friday night when he got home. He's excited, but it doesn't feel quite real for him yet - roll on scans etc! He's doing a good job of looking after me though - which is good cos I'm starting to feel terrible already .

I'm really worried/paranoid though... I've had MCs before and I'm scared I'm going to have another. I have diarrhoea and the only time I've had that in my life is when I MC-ed in May . That's really scaring me. I didn't bleed then either - they had to give me a D&C several weeks later. But I'm crampy and, as I say, have diarrhoea. I've read loads of people get that in early pg, but how do I know if it's ok for me or not???

I'm going on Wed, so hoping they'll do that for me. I'm a bit confused by my tests:

4th October: 2x First Response (sensitivity 10): both good clear lines
6th October: 1 x First Response: stronger line
7th October: 1 x Asda (sensitivity 15): clear, definite line, but not that dark AND 1 x CB Digital (sensitivity 25): 'Pregnant 2-3'

How can the CB, which is looking for a higher HCG level, seem to think I'm more pg than the Asda? I used the exact same urine (piac)

Step away from the tests!
Each brand is different, and CBD are more trouble than they are worth! They can be up to +/- 10 days out!
You are PG. Without wanting to sound harsh, only time will tell you anything at this stage. Try and breathe and just enjoy the moment. xx
P.S. I do understand, the waiting is shit!
