NCT refresher courses?

This is me thinking WAY too far ahead but we met some good people to commiserate over lack of sleep/discuss poo with through our nct course, by then completely moved cities.
Would it be worth doing a refresher course literallyjust to mmeet people in our new city? Ds is 9 months and we're TTC now with final move in jan..

Or am I being an eejit?

maybe, but tbh I'd look into free/cheaper options first, for example the NHS courses or meeting people at playgroups you go to with DS?

Why not just join NCT then go to local meet ups once you have had the baby?

a friend of mine did this, think she was grateful for some intros but found that as she was also tied to nursery pick ups and drop offs for older ds that meeting for coffee was less simple. she has found lots of nice groups in new town and met people through these, think on dc2perhaps you are more confident at chatting up other mums?

I'm doing a weekly NCT "Relax, stretch and breathe" course this time around. If you have one in your area I would really recommend it. It's a great combination of moaning about symptoms, exercises and relaxation. You can go from 12 weeks, so meet plenty of people at various stages.

We have already managed a dinner out the week our teacher was on holiday and are hoping to do it again soon so nice and sociable.

I really recommend the refresher course. I just finished mine - it was only 4 classes and it was useful to spend the sessions discussing how to cope with two kids instead of just the new baby stuff. We all had similar age older kids and had the same worries about how to juggle everything. The birth announcements are just starting to fill up my inbox and I'm really excited that I know a group of ladies in the same position that I'll soon be in again...
