My first post...
I'm 41 and have 2 DS, one 14 (!) and one 19 months. I had 2 MCs in the last year, one at 6 wks which was quite straightforward (though emotionally exhausting) and the other was a missed MC, started bleeding at 11.5 weeks and scan showed it had died at 6 weeks. A week later I haemorrhaged and ended up in A&E.
All in all, it's been a bit rough.
So, now I am a week and a half away from my wedding to my soon to be DH and have had 4 days of +ive tests, but all of them faint. I've used both first response and ebay strips with the same results. I think I'm heading for another early MC, but I'd love to hear other people's experiences. Thanks.

A giant line can mean you are further along than you think! Any line is a positive whether faint or not. Try not to stress about it because that's not good for you or baby. Fingers crossed for you Thanks

I really must proof read .... Faint line not giant!!!!

TerrorMeSue · 02/10/2013 15:14

Congratulations Flowers!

The strength of the line is irrelevant. Is an early private scan an option for you?

tannyLoo72 · 02/10/2013 15:33

Hadn't thought of private scan, I've booked a GP appt, but I think I'm dreading being told its another MC. My consultant Obs said after the last one I could get a scan on NHS at 8 weeks. My period was due yesterday so I'm not really early or late.
I so hate the feeling of elation and depression that comes with the "what ifs" Smile Sad Sad

I had 2 mc in 2011one mmc that I found at 12 week scan and the other mc at 10 weeks and totally get the faint line worrying then I became pg with my ds now 10.5 months and I didn't stop worrying till I could feel his kicks now 25+5 so there is every chance this bub will be ok it's natural to worry congratulations on your positive no matter how faint Smile

I had to MCs last year, lots of faint lines and no major symptoms, HCG slowly went up and then plummeted.

January this year and first month of trying after taking a much needed break from ttc and again I got a faint line, I was so convinced that I was going to MC again that I started researching private testing for recurrent miscarriage, and sought advice on that basis, but a week later the lines were really strong and I'm now due next week!

Impossible not to worry but today you are pregnant, take each day as it comes, I found that helped me cope with the early days.

Thank you. So sorry for your losses, and so pleased to hear you're doing well now.
I tested again this morning and the line looks a bit darker, and all last night and this morning I've been feeling very quezy. Fingers crossed! Tanya x

tannyLoo72 hello first off i dont think the line faintness has anything to do with a possible mc i suffered a mc last year sep 2012 and i didnt know i was preg for a while then when i did suspect it i did my test and was a really dark lines on the test showing pos obv i did go on to lose that pregnancy but try not to read to much into the lines im now expecting again and this time to begin with i had a faint line only for a few days i really am sorry for your previoues mc and i hope all works out well for you

tannyLoo72 · 04/10/2013 16:52

Thanks for your encouragement! It has really helped. The line is still not getting darker, I'm testing every morning, but I feel so sick that I am trying to see this as a really positive sign. I'll try and follow my own advice and enjoy it!

congratulations. Mine was faint for a week or so. A line is a line. I think you can go to EPU from 6 weeks or so so may be worth a try if your worried? Although if yoiu can wait to 8 weeks or so its much more definitive

princesscupcakemummyb · 04/10/2013 23:01

Everything is fine at the moment, but I won't be able to relax properly until I've got to 6wks...

I bought a Clear Blue Digital and more first response tests over the weekend, and got a 2-3 weeks conception indicator and a lovely big pink line.

My GP appt is next Monday and by then I'll be nearly 6wks...
