Cramping at 9 weeks pregnant

This might be a stupid question...

I'm (I think) 9+5 in my first pregnancy. For the last week or so I've been getting cramping - not often but painful when I do get them. I've had a pretty constant ache in my general womb area for the last day and a half as well. Googling proved inconclusive, can't phone midwife as I only have the surgery number which shut at 5. Is it worth going to the walk in centre, or is it normal?!

It's one of those 'hard to say' I'm afraid. If you need reassurance would go to the walk in centre. I know there are a lot of threads on here saying they experience cramps quite often in the first trimester. Good luck.

I'm only 5 + 3 with my first but I've had constant cramping sensations in my womb area for the last couple of weeks. I did speak to a friend about it who had similar sensations and said it was pretty common but maybe just speak to someone tomorrow to reassure yourself.

I had it with brown spotting and all was fine, due anytime now but best to ask a midwife to be safe and you will find it reassuring coming from a professional who hears and sees this stuff every day. Congrats x

Thanks all. I ended up not going tonight, but will def be going tomorrow if it hasn't disappeared by then. Hopefully it'll be able to wait until my booking appointment on Monday though.

I haven't told anyone except DH and my boss yet kitkat. Thought about ringing NHS direct but have heard they're not great in situations like this! I had them at the 5 weeks stage as well but everything I ready pointed towards that being totally normal, so hopefully everything's fine for both of us!

Hope your ok this morning. If your still worried I'd pop into your early pregnancy unit ( if you google it you should find your local one, usually at the hospital) for reassurance. I went a couple of times in first few weeks and they were lovely

Was fine this morning, though they've come back again in the last half hour or so. Think it'll be the walk in centre for me, even though it's probably nothing!
