2nd Baby 2/5ths palpable

Am 36 weeks and just been told baby is 2/5 palpable (so 3/5 engaged). My 1st was born at 38 weeks. I thought 2nd babys engaged later than the first. Has anyone got any experiences of 2nd babys engaging?

Wow, I was just about to post exactly the same, I'm 2/5 engaged and panicking as I had my 1st at 38 weeks and I'm 37 now. So very much following!!

I'm 2/5 engaged at 34 weeks so a little worried. Baby 1 was born at 40 weeks and never felt as low as this one does. Midwife did say that it doesn't mean anything and could stay there until 42 weeks. Hope she's right.

I am 40+ weeks with DC3 and head has been 2/5 palpable for past two weeks, first picked up it was engaged at 34 weeks. Both midwife and I thought I would go early but still no real sign of baby coming

Thanks ladies, feel slightly reassured. It has felt v low since last week and am now having weekly appointments with the midwife. Would like it to hold out for another week at least.

I think they are much more prone to pop in and out in subsequent pgs - so even if 2/5 one week might be freethe next...
