I'm 10 weeks pregnant and suffering with hyperemisis and due to the tablets I'm taking, I'm so constipated I'm starting to feel even more sick!!

What can I take for this? The quicker they work the better, I'm so desperate!!!

I used glycerin suppositories in pregnancy for constipation. Works immediately but I would check with your GP first they are ok.

Lactulose. V gentle. I took in pg.

Lactulose
Prune juice

I've never seen prune juice to buy! But I've never looked for it either... Is it horrible?
I was considering suppositories as I need something quite instant then taking something more gentle for regularity

Linseeds with water. They are nutritious too as a bonus. HG is the vilest thing ever - I feel for you.

Liquorice. But it does make you trump too...

Mind you, that could just be me - farted like a cart horse through all 3 pgs.

I'm such a catch Grin

Syrup of figs

Five dried apricots washed down with a glass of pure orange (with the bits in)

Worked for me although the damage was already done and my butt will never be the same again

Prune juice is not particularly tasty - I'd not drink it normally, but it's not unbearable.
Comes from our local supermarket in similar cartons to apple/orange juice and I find about a shot-worth each evening keeps things moving (OTOH I don't have hyperemsis so different situation).
