gosh it IS overwhelming, isn't it? I am due to have my section on friday and I am nervous. This is my third dc as well.

You will be fine, honestly. It is a major life event but it is wonderful. It is nerve wracking but it is amazing.

Best of luck

My csection is in 9 days! I can totally understand where you are coming from, and it must be much worse for you as being at work won't have given you the time to get your head around it all.

If it helps, I think it is normal to feel like this. It's a big life change and the whole csection thing is pretty terrifying. However I don't think this means you (or I) won't cope, or that it will be as scary as we might think. I have read so many positive stories about csections, they can't all be wrong!

I'm just planning on taking one day at a time, and seeing how things go. Try to give yourself a break, and allow yourself to have this wobble.

I've just had my 4th baby and I felt the same Grin

I really enjoyed my planned section last time, it was relaxed and everyone was very supportive. I was nervous but it was all fine.

I expect you are worn out if you are still working, I hope you get some sleep although this may be a forlorn hope if you are anything like I am at the moment.

And you don't have to know everything about being a mother straight away, your knowledge grows naturally with your experience and time you spend with your baby. As someone else said, one day at a time Smile
