I am! I'm 22 weeks and baby's daddy decided he didn't want anything to do with us as soon as I found out I was pregnant. So I've been on my own from the beginning.
How many weeks are you?

Bethybabys · 30/09/2013 13:00

26 weeks hun, hope you are coping ok x

I'm single, or more accurately separated, and pregnant with number 3. 29 weeks now and finding it much easier than the first two times when the ex was here Smile

I think it's awful that you have to ask people to be nice, so what if you're single, being a good mum is what makes you fabulous not if you have an overgrown toddler trailing you ;)

Congratulations and enjoy :)

what freeman said.

35 +3 here. dumped the dad for good at 15/16 weeks cos he turned into a vicious controlling abusive twunt.
once my solicitor warned him bout his behaviour he went quiet. aint seen him since. but since he has gone im alot less stressed. he made getting through each day a chore.

although from what ive experienced since, there are still many ignorant ppl out there with their stereotypes.
when i split from him i had ppl ask im sure i still want the baby and 'its still legal to terminate' Angry the assumption that single mums wont cope with another pregnancy alone Hmm
i brought my other 3 up alone when their dad passed away. but society says ill still struggle.

maybe more single parents would cope better if society doesnt keep subliminally telling them how they'll fail Hmm

i dont need a bloke to care for my kids, and i wont need one for this one either. none of us do. Thanks

Hi ladies me too :)

Expecting number 3, currently 36 weeks.

Totally relate to the whole its easier on your own. Other people dont seem to be able to get it though.

Solasum · 01/10/2013 12:17

And me!

26 weeks with my first. All going well apart from occasional run-ins with ex. My parents have been brilliant and so supportive.

I am in London, in case anyone else is too?

Shellywelly1973 · 01/10/2013 12:39

I was a single parent many years ago...

Ds is now 24. I've done loads of stuff & yet ds by far is my biggest & best achievement.

I've met someone else & we hsve dc. Honestly- it not harder being a single mum its different.

I love dp but it was a massive shock when our first dc arrived 12 years ago as I thought it would be a walk in the park as I had a partner to share the work load with but it wasn't.

Don't let anyone put you down. Your more then able to do this.

Take care of yourselves

CurlyKiwiControl · 01/10/2013 14:19

My parents are brilliant, and my whole family too, I'm very lucky.

That was a nice message Shelley :)

I'm way ooop north splashing, shame

CurlyKiwiControl · 01/10/2013 14:20

Splashing? I meant solasum! Am I allowed to blame baby brain

F1onajb · 02/10/2013 15:41

Me too!! I'm 20 weeks and split with him when I was 17 weeks.

I'm fine :)

Sarahmains40 · 02/10/2013 18:42

I don't no why you would think ladies would judge you for being a single mum. And start Crucifying you lol there's lots of support on the site.

My mum brought my sister and I up from when I was eight (my dad died.)

Although I missed out on a dad I will always cherish my mum that little bit extra as she had to double the work compared to my friends who all had dads. I'm pregnant with my first and I'm lucky I have a really supportive partner.

When people admire celebrities etc I think there stupid.
I idolise women like my mum and you because I know I wouldn't cope.
Never had any money even tho she worked hard but taught me a good work ethic.

You should be really proud and I wish you all the luck in the world.
