Mousse In Pregnancy

I know that mousse is on the banned list of foods for pregnancy because of the raw eggs, but is shop bought mousse the same. I've got a real craving for a choccy mousse but I don't know if I should risk it?

I would imagine its fine if it is the stuff you get in the normal chiller section - I doubt they use raw eggs but I'm not 100%

Even if they do, it'll be pasteurised to the max so I wouldn't worry!

I've been shovelling down lemon mousse for months in this pregnancy as its one of the few things I can keep down, I figure the shop bought ones are all pasteurised so that's ok. Also if you make your own use the red lion stamped eggs as they're from salmonella vaccinated hens.

They'll be using pasteurised eggs in pre-prepared mousse.
