I've heard 12 months from ladies on SANDS desperate to try again after a loss who were unfortunate to have needed a section.

I was told a year by hospital.

I was told two years between births, so 15 months ish before conceiving.

I've had 2 c sections & was told 12 months but I think they meant pregnancy not birth so wait a year before getting pregnant again x

I was told a year between sections! (And this is after my emcs went somewhat wrong and they had to permanently re-arrange my innards afterwards). I'm not inclined to believe I could safely try again so soon.

Will wait at least two years before trying again but I imagine if everything was straightforward you could try again after a year or so.

a year between sections seems too soon to me, that's only 3 months to conceive! I'm 3 months post csection now and still sore.

DD1 was 11 months when we started trying again after a straight forward EMCS (was advised to wait a year). 21 months between DD1 and DD2 and DD2 was a straight forward VBAC.

We were told 3-6 months! It is considered fine to have a 1 year age diff between babies here with 2 CSs!

Ooops, I was told nothing! 14 month gap between dc's [embarrassed], Second was a VBAC though in case that has any bearing although I doubt it.

Face fail!

neversleepagain · 27/09/2013 13:59

I was told 18 months.

Dd1 (emcs) has just turned 1 and I'm 13 weeks pregnant with my second. The midwife didn't bat an eyelid at the gap but I am under consultant-led care and deemed higher risk (but that's mostly because dd1 was v big)
