Pregnant with DC2. With DC1 I was sick throughout the 9 months but although it hurt/sore throat etc I never experienced what I did last night:

Was throwing up and my mouth and tongue started burning and stinging. When I finally finished I looked in the mirror and the tip of my tongue was red raw and slightly bleeding. Could also taste blood/feel raw skin on roof of my mouth.

Very painful and even now, 15 hours later, it still hurts even to drink water. No chance of eating (which isnt helping my nausea!)

Any ideas/recommendations? Didnt eat anything unusual yesterday so cant work out why!

Maybe where you were straining to be sick you could've burst some of the tiny blood vessels? I have done it so many times since being pregnant and my face comes out in purple bruising. I look like dh has beaten me up Grin (he hasn't just for the record!) that's what I reckon anyway. Was it undigested food you threw up? Sorry for the invasive question Confused but it makes a bit of difference or has when I've been sick

Could be acid reflux as well as sickness. I had it for ages without realising and it kept burning the skin off my throat.

Gargling with salt water will hurt like hell but help healing.

It was digestes food. Ive never had acid reflux but it must have been something acidic.
