Ok, first of all, I take it you've done a pregnancy test? You need to speak to someone about your pregnancy - can you speak to your parents? Your boyfriend? Or even your GP? It is rare for pregnancies to happen with Implanon, but no method of contraception is 100% effective.

Please be careful about using your real name on here too, you don't want someone to recognise you. Would you like me to try to get your name removed from your post?

It is very rare but it's not impossible - I have a friend who did last year. Unfortunately as Forgetfulmog says, no method of contraception can ever be 100% and so somebody has to be that 1 in 100. I am so sorry it happened to you, you must be very scared.

Your next step depends entirely upon your relationships with those around you. If you feel you can trust and get support from family or the father, talking to them first would be a great step. Otherwise you could ring somebody like the Brook Advisory Service to arrange to speak to a counsellor in confidence about everything. www.brook.org.uk/index.php/pregnancy/could-you-be-pregnant/what-if-i-am-pregnant

Take care.
