blue veins starting to show up - any thoughts pls?

hi just a quick one.. am in 2 wk wait & as of fri nite / sat morning i've had veins starting to show through (not raised, just visible). they're spreading out frm underarm, under boobs; and today they've started on the tops of my thighs and starting to creep up lower abdomen.

am i paranoid? or is this a sign (either of pregnancy OR af - don't mind which, just never seen it before & can't find too much when i google)

It is a common thing in pregnancy as you have a lot more blood pumping around. I am very pale so I quickly looked like a road map. Nice, but not the worst effect of pregnancy.....!

could be because you're hot? but yes definitely something that happens in pregnancy

I too have roadmap like veins - at least you know the nurse/midwife will have no trouble getting blood out of you!

I'm in the same position as you - and it's a very good sign, I've heard.

We are ttc, will keep an eye out for the roadmap reappearing!!

i've been looking in mirrors, in different lights etc, and if it wasn't for fact that they're definitely spreading up and out from areas which were hot and achy, then i'd think was imagining it.

incidentally i have little red tiny dots one or two on each breast, one on hip, one on top of thigh which are in same sorts of areas, or at least where i've been hot & achy

spider veins? or more wishful thinking prob :-)

This sounds like a really good sign to me im 18 week pg And ive had them for a while good luck xx
