I'm just over 14 weeks pg, and already am struggling to be able to wear my regular jeans without undoing the button :( I think over the winter i'll be living in leggings and long tops or tunics. I've had a rummage on the internet but maternity wear looks like it's going to swamp me this early. When did you start buying & wearing maternity wear? And also, i'm after suggestions for good places I can buy it.

Thanks in advance! :)

Ooh good thread guys. I'm 26+2 and need to get some maternity stuff for work.
All I've got so far is pair of skinny mat jeans from asos and a jersey t shirt both are great, but unfortunately I'm not allowed to wear jeans to work :( I've been surviving in normal stretch jersey dresses some brilliant ones from George at asda. But would like to get some trousers as its getting colder.
I was massively disappointed with the maternity range in shops, I went in to Topshop in Nottingham and they had a tall and petite range but only the maternity stuff online, and Gap was the same. :( Very annoying as I normally like to see things in person before I buy.

Have to say agree with a lot of what ellsy is saying. The maternity lines are massively overpriced and it is so annoying that hardly any shops stock anything. I hate buying clothes on line and have ended up sending have the stuff i sent for back.
The only real mat stuff you need are maternity leggings ( normal ones tend to fall down a lot) and/or trousers for casual. Work wear is harder to get away with.
Having been pregnant through the summer months i found a lot of my summer dresses worked fine (with legging s once they got indecently short riding up on bump).
Empire lines work well. In the winter jumper dresses and leggings a size or two up are the way forward I think.
