DS1 3.5 hours. DS2 1.5 hours. Expected DS3 to be 10 mins, but in fact 4.5 hours ( and each one bigger than the last).

Even faster lol

45 minute homebirth, I didn't have an active pushing stage, I was in a foetal position with the gas and air and turned onto my back and the head was out, followed by the body. Difficult to describe but I just felt her slide out.

3s great btw so great we had another one GrinGrinGrin

Woke up at 6.45am, drove to hospital and got there at 7.15am, DC3 born at 8.10am! Quick Grin

DS1: 3 hours 5 mins
DS2: 2 hours 45 mins
DS3: 2 hours 16 mins

I actually wish my labours had lasted a little bit longer, because then I'd have more to remember.

Ds1 4hours
ds2 45 mins
Ds3 7 1/2 hours!(big head and back to back)
Ds4 awaited.... Around 3 hours would be good so i have a chance of making it in.

I had dd1: 3 hours. And dd2: 1hour exact. Water broke at home at 10:53pm, got to hospital around 11:30 and born at 11:53pm back to back! But I found it easier somehow. First 8lb9, second 8lb1.5.

Both overdue (5 & 9days) but second came down birth canal before cervix did so this is why little madam. But she was too eager I guess!)

This one is expected 8lb approx and advised home birth.... So I'm in between minds. As some people I know had a worse third labour! Each to their own I guess but I just don't see myself having a long labour as my body is just very fast so far?

I'm really not sure about homebrth either. In an ideal world I would have the lovely home water birth... I just feel uneasy? Nt sure why?

My third labour was a home birth, and it was amazing. So relaxed and peaceful. Neither DS1 nor DS2 even woke up. Can't recommend it highly enough.

ringaringarosy · 27/09/2013 14:44

1st was 2 and a half hours, second was 1.5 hours, third was about 2 hours, and the lightest in weight,4th was 2 hours if anyone was interested and weighed the same as my first!(who was the biggest at 8.12)

ringaringarosy · 27/09/2013 14:44

i had a home water birth with 3 and 4 and i wish id done it the first 2 times,it was amazing and i cant wait to do it again.

ABaconAndOnionTart · 27/09/2013 14:50

My first labour was 6 hours, my second 5. I niggled with no 3, which is apparently common in third labours. He was also posterior which slowed the labour. Once he started coming though, he shot out like a champagne cork. All water births.
