To find out or not to find out gender?

I am pregnant with my second dc and did not find out first time as i was happy and keen to have a surprise at birth.
This time I don't feel strongly about waiting and am considering finding out. I just wanted to ask if anyone regretted (if that's the right word) finding out and wished they'd waited?

Or did finding it out make everything just as soecial on the day, especially if having an Elcs as I am this time round.

I have a couple of weeks to decide!

Thanks x

I can totally relate to MrsPat. I found out with DS2, because I really wanted a girl. By the time he arrived I was so delighted to meet him, and he hasn't disappointed, and is just scrummy.

I think I'll find out again this time, fingers crossed, although if it is a girl, she's going to look like a tomboy in her hand-me-downs...

First time round we did not have the option to find out due to hospital policy although we both would have liked to initially. At 36 weeks the midwife thought baby may be breeched so I was sent for a scan, at the scan which I attended on my own as I did not think baby was breeched, something else minor was picked up (hydrocele) that needed to be written in my notes and would identify the sex so they told me I was having a DS. I felt disappointed that I now knew having got used to the fact we were having a surprise and that I had been told without DH but was not disappointed that I was having a boy. Baby was not breeched either.

This time round we didn't find out so looking forward to the surprise next month!
