Mirena + 2 missed periods + 4 negatives tests BUT look pregnant!!!

I had the mirena 2 years ago after the birth of my son. I continued to have regular but very light periods and thought it was great. But I have now missed two periods and look pregnant. My stomach is massive. No other symptoms though - at least not the same as my other two pregnancies. Four negative tests.

Any ideas anyone?

If I am pregnant I would be happy but this is driving me mad! My husband is sick of my talking about it. When I showed my parents my stomach this morning they gasped as they thought I was pregnant.

You should see your gp as it could be a large ovarian cyst or something else.

I second a trip to the dr. Getting pregnant with a coil in can be dangerous. As pp says ovarian cyst is possible.

Thanks so much for responding - I am seem to be trawling the internet for answers but I guess a trip to GP is the only way to know what is happening. Don't know much about ovarian cyst so will take a quick look online now.

I wasn't too worried until Friday when I realised I totally looked pregnant and couldn't do my beloved comfy jeans up.

My aunt had one the size of a rugby ball they just removed it and everything was fine

Get checked at the dr, I had an ovarian cyst removed 2 years ago that contained 18litres of fluid! I was huge but had no pain or other symptoms that made me go to the dr, it was only when I finally got some abdominal pain that put me in a&e that it was diagnosed. Sounds stupid now but I honestly thought I was putting on weight, was unemployed at the time and there was other things going on as well. Press on your tummy,is it soft or hard?

Also not trying to freak you out at all but the pathology of my cyst showed it was a borderline tumor, basically that means it may or may not have turned into a cancerous cyst at any time and I now have to see an oncologist for checks for another 3 years. I really can't stress enough how important it is you find out what's going on either way.

Mirena can stop periods after a while anyway it is very common. I had none for nearly 2 years (bliss). Hope the gp sheds some light

Sorry for slow update! Well, negative test back from hospital (urine sample) and have another appointment this evening. Doctor said weight gain could be IBS or thyroid and no period due to stress (except I am no more stressed than any other mother of two!). He also said it could be diet. Thanks for asking after me. :)
